Shady Grady & The Nobodies hail from one the great blues capitals of the world, Chicago. This competitive, and always inspiring, atmosphere pushed the founding members to seek constant improvement and to develop their own sound, branding it "blue funk". Beginning in high school band rooms, the guys would play for endless numbers of hours jamming or playing covers of Jimi Hendrix and their musical heroes. Barely know at the time, Shady Grady & The Nobodies was formed. |

As the band developed and improved, frontman Bill Grady began to write original material for the group. This effort culminated in the release of their debut album, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, on July 24, 2011. The self-published release was received very well and Shady Grady played a number of local concerts in support of the project at CJ Arthur's, The Elbo Room & Reggies in Chicago.
